**** IMPORTANT ****
BEFORE YOU INSTALL (OR UPGRADE TO) FAST VERSION 2.3

  1. Due to size considerations, we no longer distribute hardware drivers with the fast software. They can be downloaded from: National Instruments. After downloading the drivers, Launch the setup program and follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Then download and install the full or upgrade distribution below.
  3. Last, download and install the Analysis Program.

**** IMPORTANT ****
AFTER A FULL INSTALL OF FAST VERSION 2.3

  1. Launch the FAST software.
  2. Select "Settings" from the main menu.
  3. Select the desired values for the parameters.
  4. Click "Done."
Exported CSV Files in version 2.3.x and higher are NOT reverse compatible with previous versions of the MicroSoft™ Excel™ analysis macros. You will need to download the new Post-acquisition analysis program for use with this and future versions of the FAST software.

Analysis Software Distributions
Version 2, Build 10.28.09 for Windows XP/Vista/7 on Intel compatible 32 or 64 Bit Processors

If you are installing the analysis program on your machine for the first time, download the Full distribution which includes the analysis program and the MatLab compiler runtime environment. All distributions include the Visual C++ runtime environment which must be installed separately.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download the full or upgrade distribution for either 32 or 64 bit hardware.
  2. Unzip the distribution and run Setup.exe located in the FAST Installation folder. The installer for the full distribution will also install the MatLab runtime environment.
  3. When the installation completes, double click the "C++ Runtime Installer" icon on the desktop to install the C++ runtime environment. Once installed, the icon can be deleted from the desktop.
  4. That's it! Double click the FAST Analysis icon to use the program.

Version 2.2.0-4 Software Installation Instructions

Full Installation (with or without drivers):
NOTE: Performing a full install over an existing installation will erase the database and result in loss of data.
  1. Download and install the latest version of MDAC from microsoft, version 2.8 can be found here.
  2. Reboot
  3. Unzip the FULL install release of the FAST software, enter the directory named "Volume" and run Setup.exe.
  4. If you are installing the full version with the hardware drivers, follow the on-screen instructions for the National Instruments portion of the installation
  5. When setup completes you will need to re-boot your computer. After rebooting you will be ready to use the program. The FAST program will appear in your start menu.

Upgrading a previously installed version:
  1. Exit the FAST software if it is running
  2. Unzip the UPGRADE release of the FAST software and run Setup.exe found in the "Volume" Directory.
  3. If you are installing the upgrade version with the hardware drivers, follow the on-screen instructions for the National Instruments portion of the installation
  4. When the installation program completes you must reboot the system then the upgraded software will be ready for use.

Other FAST System Updates and Utilities

Keeping your look-up tables updated will insure that your software is always current with the new hardware and sensors that are available for use with the FAST system.

To install an update:
  1. Rename the old C:\Program Files\Quanteon\lut-data.ini file
  2. Download and unzip the update in your C:\Program Files\Quanteon directory
  3. Open the fast software, go to the system management console, then click "Update Lookup Tables."
